Thanks Peter, only slight problem is that you can't yet book a return flight - unless you're OK to return the following day ;) Guess its something to do with the eleven month rule for booking tickets[:?]

But would you want to trust the delivery date of the opening? I wonder how many people bought tickets to the first event at Wembley!?

Me becuase tickets didnt go on sale until the stadium had be handed over and thus no more delays werre going to happen :D.

Must admit I am tempted to book a flight next year- partly becuase I am a sad airplane geek- although I think I will wait a couple of months until after it opens and all problems have been ironed out!

T5 has never been delayed has it?!?

AFAIK T5 is one of the very few major civil engineering projects that is going to finish on time or early and within budget!

Wembley, Scotish Parliment, Spinnaker Tower all take note. If they have any sense, the team will then go to the Olympics 2012 team.

When Mavrick says it will be on time, I beleive him. If I remember my T5 visits notes properly it will be handed over in December to BA for them to install their stuff and get ready for the ops move from the otehr terminals. The construction group have done an awesome job at staying on time and on budget. Something sadly that the 2012 Olympics will not follow.

T5 has to be seen to be believed!

Such hardships eh;)

For something in the UK, T5 is a bit of a wonder being on budget/on time and a major project. Look at the Millennium Tower which missed the millennium and subsequently had to be named Spinnaker Tower.[ii]
