How awful for those losing their jobs. Reading the recent TR, and how good the service was, lets hope it doesn't affect that part of the company.

Unfortunately it probably will. According to the report the majority of job losses will be in the area of cabin crew.

This story seems to confirm more about the restructuring at Gulf Air, selling a number of their a/c to be replaced by leased one's. Losses of $1million a day are very high and worrying!

Gulf Air have also announced that they are to cut their thrice weekly flights from Dublin as part of the restructuring. It was rather nice seeing their planes there

At least we will see Ethiad flying to the Middle East now from Dublin , if somewhat a restricted number of flights.

Gulf Air has definitely been the loser from the rise of Emirates, Etihad and Qatar. The airline now has hubs at just two of its orignial four states.

I hope service isn't affected too much. I plan to be a regular on them later this year.
