Just a quick note from a Las Vegas resident about taking a taxi from
McCarran International Airport to the strip. Always tell the driver to go down Swenson to Tropicana and then turn left to the strip, if you're staying at one of the hotels on the south end of the Strip; otherwise they'll take you around the expressway which seems faster, but adds on more miles to the fare. Hotels in the center and the north end of the Strip are better accessed by taking Swenson and then doglegging it onto Paradise Road which runs pararel on the east side of the Strip. If you think you've been ripped off, get the driver and taxi numbers and call the Las Vegas Taxi Authority Police.[i]

And remember, they didn't build those Casinos by sending everyone home a winner.
