Has anyone come across travel policies that would cover you in the event of:

- Missed connection due to late arrival of previous flight (where on separate PNRs and non flexible ticket)
- Costs of prepaid accomodation, etc if flights cancelled outbound(where not part of a "package")
- additional costs due to delayed or cancelled flight inbound(assuming the Carrier claims beyond their control/and or originating outside of the EU)
- Scheduled airline failure

My annual multi trip policy is very cheap but doesn't cover any of the above eventualties. I wouldn't mind paying more for peace of mind.

Thanks

Pat

you can also have a look at travel supermarket to compare prices and coverage.

I guess you're looking for a policy which covers something like "failure of public transport while en-route to the airport" or similar.

Last time I looked, an airline was "public transport", so in theory getting a plane to your point of departure is no different than getting a bus, train or boat(!), though I'd check the small print for weaselly exclusions.

Cheers,
Mike
