HOw about this then, after all the options being touted I noticed two silly priced fare, that I felt needed to be exploited.
A Business Class to (£1500SAS)SIN and then a Business Class from CMB to (SQ£894) SFO, add in a couple of the KUL/SIN runs and for a week off work, 5days in San Fran, and Night in Singapore and a lot of Flying, for just over 3k you get a number of Options
Go Gold in Kris Flyer and earn 84000 miles and 20 Tier Points
Earn 40 Tier Points and Retain Silver in *Alliance, or Gold if you have some miles saved up
Earn Silver in Flying Club and Silver in SAS and Silver in Kris Flyer
Lots of options
PLUS almost enough miles for a UC return on the network so take of £1800 for a K class ticket and you get the rest for £1200
I am doing it in the first week of september, I am going to Add 40 Tier points, and retain my Star Alliance Gold
If you do not want the Tier points you should put as much on the Start Alliance as you get a monthly 25% bonus
