Two plane loads of unhappy FGS pax I would imagine....

I can tell you why. Its because they are so dumb they have gone and sent BOTH of their 767s to Air India so now they are stuck with 757-200s as their biggest a/c in the fleet.

[:0][:0][:0] I cant believe they sent the other 767 to Air India (or have they decided to go Air Indian with the new colours?!?).

I would imagine someone like Zoom must be eyeing up the GSM long haul operations and a/c. They could buy up the 757's and 767's and use them to expand Zoom UK.

TBH they arent that cheap either- they were more expensive on GLA-SFB than VS on LGW-MCO- and VS were up at £490!!!

I will be going to NYC at the back end of August and returning from Toronto in September. As much as I like to fly VS to JFK unfortunately I will be flying GSM to JFK out of Liverpool and returning from Toronto to Manchester.

In a way I am dreading this experience but the price I paid was £275 rtn inc tax with no food and entertainment. I am not expecting much but as long as they get me to JFK on time then I will be happy. Maybe I will do a trip report. But first I will enjoy my luxury on VS with my HKG trip next week.

Just had another look on Jethro's and it seems that the yare expecting three more 767s but can only say 'Summer 07'. As for the two 767s at Air India thye will only come back as soon as the two A330s they have on order are delivered, but they have until November to do that.

Utter joke of an airline- as I posted in the other thread they should NEVER have sent the 767s to Air India/Air Indian.

Golden rules when starting an airline- dont change things once bookings have started, use one a/c type and dont get too big too fast. GSM have broken every rule.

Just be grateful you're not flying GSM today - their schedule looks a shambles. Their flight from LGW to Hamilton via GLA shows as "scheduled" for its 16:00 departure but that won't happen because the inbound a/c that should have arrived from GLA at 11:25 hasn't even left GLA yet [n] So taking a look at GLA's departure boards the outbound to LGW from 09:50 this morning also shows as "scheduled". I'm guessing the a/c scheduled to operate this service is the late inbound 132 from Toronto which should have landed at GLA at 09:00 but didn't land until 15:39! Even if it had been on time how could they turn it round in 50 mins! Total shambles.
