I was wondering if there has been any more rumors as to whether they are going to build another terminal at LAS for international flights. The present one has to be one of the worst I have been in in the world, and especially the lack of an upper class lounge. I mean, VS can sting you over £5,000 for UC seat and you get no lounge in LAS. Now that we have the likes of MaxJET going there as well, how long before more business class carriers like Silverjet, etc start flying in.
They have made some "improvements" to the terminal, in the shape of tarting up the duty free and paper shop, which leads me to believe that a new terminal is not in the offing.

There is a significant amount of work in the pipeline at McCarran. Whilst I cannot add anything about a VS CH, other than agreeing it would be welcome, if you want to check out what is going on and what is planned have a look here for the latest news.

This isn't true.

You get access to the VIP lounge which is right next to VS's usual gate. In terms of the seats, drinks and snacks on offer, it's no clubhouse but better than some lounges I've been in.

There's nowhere to build a clubhouse, so something major will need to happen for one of them to be built. For starters, there will need to be more than 14 UC pax leaving per day for a CH to be justified.

Virgin would dearly love to build a Clubhouse at LAS, but I heard from a reliable source that there's no way the people who run McCarran would allow them because it would mean losing revenue on their per-passenger entrance to the shared lounge.

I never said that VS should build a "clubhouse", just that there is not even a shared lounge at the terminal for all of the flights to use.
As far as using the lounge you discribed, a case of the premier team giving me wrong info again it seems. When I enquired about lounge access they told me there was none[:?]

Thanks for the link Bazz. I must be the unluckiest guy around when it comes to the Premier team. Almost every enquiry I make to them gets a wrong answer. Thank god for you guys.

The new termainal is in the works, land has been cleared for it, I am kind of surprised at the lack of speed in it's building, but it is supposed to house the international flight, as it stands right now yes you are stuck with the shared lounge in the very poor excuse for an international terminal.
