48 Page Biometric Passport

The 48 page version of the UK Biometric passport is now available after much delay.

I renewed mine today at a bumper cost of £144, which admitedly does include Consular fees since i've applied at an Embassy.

Are these the ones with the little chip in now? That's only designed to work for two years or something like that.
