They just don't have enough of the latter [:I] Here are some for sale.

GJ

You are quite correct GJ, there are tickets available and I am sure they have the money available, they just have a bit more sense than to spend that amount for 90mins of football, however momentous the day is going to be.

Your subjective arrogance is delicious.

Oh believe me, it is not arrogance at all, as an avid Red (and Hull City fan) I am well aware of the significance of the day!

Now comes the burning question. How many of the Man.United "fans" posting on here actually live in or close to Manchester? I realise you will all be dedicated fans and will have seen them every time they have been on TV so please accept my sincere apologies if I have offended the die hard supporters who turn up on the settee every time they appear on Sky TV, no matter what the weather. Oh, and please not the old one of "I would go to Old Trafford, but all the season tickets have sold out for the next 740 years, so I can`t go". I realise the warm, personal feeling of achievement you must get by affiliating yourselves to a winning team, but I know of at least 11 Man United "supporters" who live near to me and they can`t even make it to the local away games where tickets are available.
Have the strength to support you local team boys, no matter how well they perform.

This post has given me the biggest laugh I have ever had on here - well done Paul top quality entertainment!!

Just out of interest and to ensure fairness - please tell me which Man Utd away Games had tickets available for Man Utd supporters to go to in your area this season?

Wow, about a 9.5 out of 10 on the old tensionometer boys. I have kept out of this forum for a while, but this was way too easy. He shoots,he scores.
Games with tickets available, mmm. How about Bolton, Middlesborough, Blackburn, Southend (not sure about the last one but .... ouch,)

Who the F are you, really,
GJ, your elloquence is truly impressive. [n], I take it you didn`t make the debating team then?[:?]

with Season Ticket holders usually taking the full allocation every game
Not every time then?

aren't beloved by millions around the world?

Precisely my point GJ, why is a team that doesn`t win not beloved by millions around the world? Why, because people want to be associated by success as it makes them seem more important than they really are.
Why are millions around the world not beloved of Dagenham and Redbridge?

I'll take Wigan or Sheff Utd to go down - Just not us!

If it's Wigan, expect to see a huge protest start as all 4 of their fans group together and moan collectively about the cheating cockneys.....

So the aim of your posts is to get peoples backs up and be controversial is it? And there I was thinking that the forum was a place to exchange information and try to help others.[:?]

So I think you have scored a bit of an own goal there chap!!

Oh I see - so you are condoning away fans sitting in the home areas? Of course there are tmes when the home club does not sell out but I can assure you its no fun sitting amongst the home fans as a an away one! We always sell out our away allocation even for games at Blackburn when we get 6,500 tickets.

Oh and Southend was completely sold out btw!!

And as a final point - who says that there is some rule that defines who someone must support. People follow teams across the world and across the country for a varienty of reasons - I have always followed the results of the Miami Dolphins as my fave NFL team - but I dont live there, and the Chicago Bulls - and some of that is because they won stuff and play in an entertaining way. It's not Man Utd's fault that people support them and I am afraid that all other football clubs wish that it was the same with them - envy and jealousy are horrible sins dont you think?

Just stepped through the door after a long but happy trip back from Manchester.....

Wow, what a day, and what a roller coaster ride this season has been

21 points out of the last 27 and a hero who most likely wont be with us next season......The one, the only Carlos Tevez.

If he stays that will be great but even if (or should I say when) he goes we owe him a great deal for hauling us out of the mess we got ourselves into, others of course did their part, but he was the catalyst

Now all we've got to do is get past the 'gang of four' who will no doubt take up legal proceedings next week. Interesting to note that had Liverpool fielded a full strength side against Fulham then it could well have been them who had gone down today [:?]

As far as the day went, well one of the more enjoyable trips to O/T as I'm sure you can imagine.

Got to dash back out now as I can just get in a quick drink before last orders

Oh.... and after today, I don't even mind if Utd win the Cup as well!

Never sang as much at a game as yesterday, felt emotionally drained and physically knackered at the end but what a way to end the season.

Have to say I thought we deserved the result, sure we rode our luck a little but defended superbly in the second half.

Interesting to see the Shef Utd chairman saying "I feel cheated because yesterday's result was not the root cause of our relegation"
he wasn't quite so vocal when they were 10 points clear of us!

I expect to see claims and counter claims if this goes to the courts which will be a shame for football.

It's going to be a difficult time for those in charge of the Premier League this summer

Just how many straws will Sheff Utd and Wigan clutch at???....

If you read the press and listen to the news it sounds like West Ham cheated their way out of trouble. I didn't hear anybody complaining about Tevez when we were 10 points adrift and favourites to go down.

There are some facts to this case that some people may be unaware of....

1) Neither Tevez nor Mascherano were ineligible to play at any time - FACT
2) The issue does not even revolve around the fact that a third party actually owned their contracts either, the issue in question was a clause in said contract that allowed the 'named third party to sell the players on at any time' - something that would not have benefited West Ham but may have had implications for other clubs.
3) The PL appointed an independent board to deliver its recommendations / fines. This board was approved by the clubs in the PL prior to the hearing
4) Having looked at the facts the board duly fined WHU £5.5M pounds

Personally I welcome the new FIFA involvement as I believe they will find very little wrong. West Ham have after all followed PL directives following the hearing. With regard to the registration of Tevez, well he was cleared to play again by the PL

Feel sorry for Sheff Utd? hmmm not me, they have blamed everyone, Man Utd included for their own failings on the pitch. I was hoping Man Utd would take it far easier than they did on the day, believe me they did us no favours on Sunday. Indeed all Sheff Utd had to do was avoid defeat on the last day of the season and they would have been safe! - something they FAILED to do :D:D:D

As for Wigan well PERHAPS Mr. 'whiter than white' Whelan should concentrate on the upcoming fine JJB sports face for price fixing on football shirts, which according to the OFT is circa £7.7M pounds
- details here

As a parting shot, here's a song especially for the blades courtesy of the 'knees up mother brown' site

DonÕt blame it on the sunshine,
DonÕt blame it on the moonlight,
DonÕt blame it on the good times,
Blame it on Tevez.

You just canÕt, you just canÕt
You just canÕt accept defeat!

Rant over [8D]

Hmmmm Warnock now on the market as of this morning......

Always a chance he could end up at Leeds [:w]

Latest news on WHU from Sky and the BBC proves we were also to blame for the Jack the Ripper murders and the closing of most of the coal mines in Yorkshire [:0]

LOL Close GJ.....

I believe it was one of our 'other less' stunning buys, Mad Marco Boogers! - Man U fans should remember him for his tackling prowess, Gary Neville certainly does [:w]

- Played 2 games for us
- Sent off once (attempted murder on G.Neville)
- Last seen living in a caravan in Holland

Ahh the stars we've had at the Boleyn Ground :D
