Laptop batteries - remove when on in seat power

I had an interesting experience yesterday - the crew were very clear that all laptop batteries (not just Sony/Dell) must be removed if using in seat power.

I had to put mine in a sick bag and show it to the crew to prove that I had removed it.

Apparently it's been policy for about two months.

It has been VS policy for sometime that if you are using the in seat power supply, batteries have to be removed from laptops.
