I notice that Maxjet have no lounge access in Vegas. I'm thinking this is because there is no lounge at all at McCarran - or am I wrong and there is one, but not for Maxjet users? If there is a lounge there, is it possible to buy access somehow? Also - is it possible to buy fast track security there? I have an abiding memory from my last trip there of spending ages and ages standing in line to clear security. Maybe this was because it was October, or maybe it's now always like this there?

There is a first class lounge there, though to be honest it is only slightly better than the burger king that is also there..though the food on offer is not as good.

I don't think there is a fast track at terminal 2 at LAS and to be honest you must of managed to hit the line at perfectly the wrong time as I have never spent more than a couple of minutes getting through security in that terminal.

Maybe that's exactly what I did do - hit security at just the wrong time. Whatever the reason though, the line was snaking round and round the airport inside and then outside too. Truly the most awful wait we've ever had.

Try being stuck there for 5 hours as we were on Thurs as Max jet had a delay, then found out the plane was not the normal extended range 767 they notmally use for LAS so was unable to take on enough fuel to get home, so had to stop at JFK to refuel, was a nighmare, landed in stansted last night at 8:30pm insted of 1:30.

Oh man that sucks......one good thing with LAS is though..at least you can hop back in a cab and grab something to eat..Other than that..how was the flight?

See my other post, the flight itself was fantastic, its just the logistics around maxjet itself that I had problems with.

I think the Maxjet product is great, providing they can become more dependable! I really want them to survive, but if they planes carry on going tech then people wont touch them!

Priority Pass get you access to the US Airways Club (formerly the America West Lounge) but that means getting yourself across to terminal 1.
