Hi guys,

I'm flying PE on an A346 LHR-LAX soon. I'd like to snag 18A/C/H/K if possible. Will these open up for OLCI? I know exit row seats don't, but seatguru has these listed as bulkhead seats. They do seem pretty close to an exit though.

I'd just like to know whether it's worth me sitting at my computer 24 hours before the flight trying to secure a decent seat.

At the moment I'm in seat 23D, the back row of the cabin. Is this a bad choice? I thought if I couldn't be in the front row, I might as well be in the back where I won't be reclining into anybody.

Speaking of which, what's the etiquette on reclining, especially with these extra recline PE seats? I haven't flown in anything other than a Y exit row since I was little, so I can't really remember if I was annoyed at having somebody in front constantly fully reclined in my face.

Sorry, lots of questions!

Thanks a lot,

Ben

Row 18 and all other Bulkhead's on the a/c can only be allocated at the airport, they are not available at OLCI.

Row 23 would not be my personal choice, too near the toilet for my liking, as for reclining, the seats are designed to recline so my view is that you can recline, obviously during the meal service the CC should ensure that the seats are fully upright, as for me that is a big no no.

Thanks for the info and thoughts. I'm now in 19D, looks like I'll be turning up early at the airport.

My ticket says check in opens at least 2.5 hours before the flight, but doesn't specify beyond that, and the VS website says the check in desk opens at 6am. How early can you check in for these flights? It departs at 1500. I seem to recall from previous flights I could check in up to four hours in advance, but I could be imagining that!

Thanks,

Ben

You can check-in with VS as soon as they open the check-in desks which is around 06:15.

Thanks James, I guess I'll just have to take my chances then. I'm not turning up at 6am to check in for a 3pm flight!
