New Safety Video

We will be getting a new safety video o/b from the 01June.
New Graphics and Voiceover.

Not sure who is doing it or what it looks like.

i think this is one of the only safety video that seems to attract most peoples attention! hope the new video will be lighthearted like the current one

They cant replace the saftey video! I know all the words to it, and i even have the video clip saved on my Mac.

Still, if they do refresh it, i hope they make as good a job as the last one. I still think its very funny and certainly better than any other airline i've travelled with. Well, maybe apart from SQ who unashamedly show off the J and F cabin's in their safety briefing

Of course, that is if they allowed the video to finish, before they put the monitor back in the armrest!!!!

very true! or just switch it off just as the credits start!

I think it may just be a refresh of the existing one to incorporate new UCS seatbelt and flight safe modes on phones etc... i guess we will see from the 1st june!

Thanks for the link to you tube, I must be very sad but the current safety vid cracks me up every time, I actually stop everything and watch it avidly once settled.

No its not just a refresh its new voiceovers and graphics too

I'm gonna miss Dani Behr's tones if she's replaced...

I had got quite fond of her voice aswell as her other attributes...[:p]

Looks like I will get one last look at the old version tommorrow night, I look forward to the comparison of old and new...

Yep, much as I like the current one, the Phillips/York/MacGregor version is still my favourite.

I'm sure the great tradition will continue though, and the next one will be as eye-catching.

David saw a 'tweaked' version on his flight to BOS yesterday. My flight to PVG didn't appear to have even had the 'new' one loaded [?]

Ok I've actually seen the new safety video and I can tell you the following things:

- The graphics are exactly the same as the old video - there is only a few minor differences

- Dani Behr's voice has been replaced by Sue Cook

- The extra information given is about the new seatbelt in UCS and use of flight safe mode for mobiles/PDAs and disconnecting the wireless connection on laptops

No harm in that. After all, it is just a safety video at the end of the day. I doubt passengers would pay extra for their tickets just to see a different video. Well that is 'normal passengers' - I could well imagine that members of this forum would quite happily buy a ticket with the sole intention of seeing the new video and nicking one of the new balnkets.

No Pam Ann then? [:#] I was hoping they'd changed their minds about not using her.
