Upgrading to PE 1 way only

Hi,

I am looking to book the following:

LGW - LAS 2nd Sept
LAX - LHR 13 Sept

I have around 7000 airmiles and would like to upgrade to PE on the LGW - LAS leg. (i would buy more miles if needed)

I have tried 'Miles plus money' on the Virgin website but it says 'No flights' for upgrading using 'Miles plus money'.

Is there another way around this using my miles?

If you have 7k miles, you will need buy another 3k, which will cost you £60 (plus the £15 transaction fee)

You can then upgrade from Y-PE 1 way for 10,000miles providing your current ticket is booked in a class that allows upgrades (Y,B,L). To do this you will just need to give FC a call and they will sort it out for you.

If your ticket is booked in a class the isn't upgradeable then you will have to pay the difference between that and a ticket that is and then use your miles to upgrade.

Just to add to Neil's advice, I'd also say ring FC and check that there are upgrades available on the day and flight you want to take. Otherwise you could end up buying miles and not being able to use them.
