Booking PE with VH

Morning all

Going to book a surprise holiday for my wife in July when the 2008 brochure comes out.

Is the extra cost for PE worth it, we've flown with Virgin on a number of occasions but always in economy.

Just wondering what your thoughts were on PE and whether it really makes a difference travelling in this section

This question raises its head now and then and this thread will hopefully give you the range of opinion hereabouts. This was, however, before recent updates to the PE service.

For me a big factor is where you are going. If you are headed out of Gatwick I'd say yes particularly if you can nab a seat on the upper deck. It's like having your own private aircraft. It's also a great start to the holiday, especially if you keep it quiet. I've accrued a number of brownie points with the family this way - the look when the cc say "you're upstairs today madam" is worth the price of admission.

Thanks for the replies.

WeÕll be travelling to San Francisco and flying back from Las Vegas during August. Thanks for the advise with the seat numbers, I've looked these up and I think there on the flight back from Vegas. What seats in PE should we choose when flying out to San Francisco, not to sure but I think it might be a different seating arrangement when flying out to San Francisco.

There are currently PE seats in the bubble upstairs on the flights to and from SFO. On the seat maps they are the ones at the back of the cabin
