At high speeds just waiting for a cop to pull you over.

Actually VW announce that they are releasing the bluetech diesels over here [y]...Very high on my list of cars to drive, with gas prices going the way they are going I am so happy that I didn't buy the GTO, the dealer had to be a dick so I didn't buy the thing.

Yup - just bought a Nissan Murano - only problem is the 3.5l V6 that drinks the juice like nothing on earth.

(goes pretty quick tho :D)

I have a ten-year-old Jetta! But I'm just a teenager (young adult?) so I guess that's excusable. It's going to be several years until I can buy a new car for myself.

Hence the reason I am glad I skipped the GTO. Even with the "low" gas prices over here I would be looking at $200 a week just to get to work !

I kind of have an idea about what I want, in the end I am just going to say F it, walk into a dealership and get something..I just hate car sales people..third lowest form of life known to man.

I sold my chipped and modd'ed BMW 540 about 2.5 years ago despite the fact I loved it to pieces. Fastest thing I have ever driven and it was tested on a rolling road at 186mph and a 0-60 in just under 6 seconds (and yes I know there are a lot faster vehicles out there), but I just couldn't bear (or afford) to see the petrol gauge visibly drop as I drove it! £60 for 200 miles of mixed driving!

So I swapped it for a 530D; It's taken me those 2.5 years to get used the difference in power and performance! So whilst those fast and sporty cars are nice while you have them, the post ownership stress disorder you get can be pretty severe. :)

Anyways, to those of you that have the car you love, enjoy driving it, don't just use it as a method of transport :)
