Well I'll be gobsmacked, I have to say I'm impressed with the service I've just received [:0] I stupidly forgot to settle my last statement on time and noticed this evening when I logged on to virginmoney that I've been stung £12 late payment fee. As I always settle on time and never pay interest I thought it would be worth a call to ask if they could waive the fee along with the interest that is yet to be applied. Went through the usual "press 1 for this and 2 for that" option sequence but now they offer you to call you bak within 10 mins so you don't have to hold. Sure enough within around 6 mins a polite chap called and the end result is that I'm being refunded half of the fee and half of the interest. I accept the late payment was my fault, so am pleased at the result and impressed (for once) at their level of service [y]

Result, James - well done. [^]
It is pleasing to see that there is a bit of common sense creeping into MBNA CS. [8D]
