Has anyone got one of those Bose things that you put your ipod in? If so does it sound good, can you get decent volume and will it work stateside.

P.S. I am just so luving my QC3s

The SoundDock? Yeah I have. I was looking for iPod speakers for my practice room and they are some of the best around - I think it comes down to a race between them and the Apple Hi-Fi.

My only complaint is that the bass is a bit too heavy for my liking - particularly when having it a bit quieter. And turning it down on the iPod doesn't make that much of a difference. Or rather, not as much a difference as I would like.

I think you mean the SoundDock EGG .I've got one and it sounds great. It resides in my kitchen although the volume is loud enough for parties (tried and tested;)).I've never taken mine away but it's possible (though it's a pain to carry even with the proper Bose travel bag-I simply take the Ipod QC2s and my Bose in ear headphones).
SoundDock also charges the Ipod even when not playing so the Ipod is always ready to go.Personally I love mine.

Yup it was the soundock I was thinking about, seen pics of them but thought they looked too small for high volume. Not keen on that box looking thing, it isn't attractive. Problem is I will end up getting one for every room, lol.

No problem with the volume EGG - and what would be wrong with one in every room ?(apart from the cc bill??)

Having heard both, I opted for the Apple HiFi instead. To each their own though, naturally.
