Seating Assignment Question

Last minute (well 10 days) trip from SFO-LHR for family reasons. DW and myself are UC, but her parents (cheap) are in economy, they usually fly BA but VS was half the price on selected days. Anyway only single seats are left, anyone have any suggestions / tactics to get two together pre-assigned, or will I need to wait until check-in. I am also Gold, and this will be my 4th UC trip this year, with another two booked for fall, and 6 booked for early next year.

A percentage of seats are held back until check-in so I suggest you do OLCI when it opens

Thanks, we will do that, I'm certainly not having much luck on the phone.

Even if OLCI doesn't come up with the goods don't despair. When I've travelled on my lonesome in Economy I've often been asked by the cabin crew whether I'd mind swapping seats so that a couple / family could be seated together.
