Just when I thought I had everything covered, the site that I'm supposed to be hiring a Mustang convertible (grp K)from, informs me that when their booking goes through it comes up as Avis and they cannot guarantee the Mustang. Budget car hire only do the Mustangs so that was why I thought it would be vitually guaranteed. (I know most sites do not gurantee anything).

I tried booking direct through Budget, but cannot get a firm price which includes all the insurance etc thats needed. (The site says pay at the airport) - I do not want to arrive and have a massive bill to pay.

The site I was booking through were charging £201 including all ins. and a full tank of petrol + 2 drivers. I usually use them when I book for Florida and they are normally really reliable.

After all my waffling, has anyone got a site that will book Budget.com car hire and let me have the Mustang???

Hi

I booked the Hilton Grand Vacation 2650 LVBlvd 1 bedroom suite and The Signiture@MGM. When I try to go direct with the car rental companies, they don't give the all inclusive price.

I'm on a new collection of Minstrels for you, as my 'children' found them and decided they like them as well.

Crap...well I can talk to my buddy at my local Avis, the problem comes in that it is 20 mins from the strip, I can get you up there..the problem is getting you back..as I will be 3k miles away.

Best bet in my books is book on avis (dont forget to enter your FC number) and badger the people at LAS to give you a mustang.

Good luck with the Mustang rental, you might be interested to hear that then Shelby factory is in the vicinity.

The advice given here about Mustang rental is spot on, the GT-H is a fine car, although I think they have now started to switch to convertibles. Be wary of the mileage, as they only give you 75 free miles a day. The regular rental Mustangs are V6's with 200 BHP, for a real Mustang adventure, you should try and drive a V8.

Have fun, there are plenty of Mustangs in the UK if you get the bug.
