I know it's classed as the "sister" hotel to the Mandalay Bay, does that mean you can use the beach/pool and other facilities at The Mandalay Bay?

Also, I'm thinking of going back to Aureole - but wondered if anyone had experienced Mix?

thanks

Hi Andrew

Yes you can use the Mandalay bay pool and facilities. You also have a pool of your own at 'the Hotel' which is for guests only (small but quiet)

Only for us special people.

FYI most of the hip bars have a bottle minimum at Mandalay bay....right now it is a 3 bottle minimum, starting at $400 a bottle...plus mixers.

And people are lining up to pay this....it is a crazy world we live in.

You can use the Mandalay but they have a minimum spend which is taken from your card, daily, reagrdless !! The sister hotel holds nothing unofrtunatel - you still have to book and pay $$$$$$

hi - sorry if I'm being dumb - can you clarify here?

is this like a daily resort charge fee?

does this apply to all bookings?

is this something most Vegas hotels do?

There's no resort fee for TheHotel, or at least there wasn't last time I stayed there.

SOME Vegas hotels charge it. Remember, you DON'T have to pay it.

Technically, if you don't, you should not use certain facilities. How they monitor that however, is a somewhat impossible task. I've always paid it when asked at check-in, but I'm aware of many who haven't.

Mix has fantastic views, best in Vegas IMHO, no cover charge before 9pm. Bud is $6.50 a bottle as a starting point. Oh, and they have the coolest loos in Vegas as well. Have eaten there and found the food average to say the least, but then I think all the food in the states is poor, problem is they go for quantity over quality, and all the growth hormones and GM grown fruit and vegetables, the simply is no flavour.

Andrew, you need some pointers on good food when you are out here...start at Prime at the Bellagio and then tell me if the food here is poor.

I am sorry but any place that has Mac n Cheese on the menu I would not classify as a good restaurant,,even with that view.
