They do offer pretty cheap day returns on Eurostar; out coach and back First. Came to like $140 return.

Also they do allow folks in the Eurostar lounges with a Centurion or Platinum card

I voted for 'Depends on Region' simply because I'm putting the costs of actually getting to/from the start/finish point of the cruise into the equation, and a cruise will probably end up becoming an expensive affair anyway.

If it was a cruise around the Mediterranean (no snobbery please) then there would be more interest from European-based V-Flyers because it owuld be cheaper and easier to get to. If it was the Caribbean (removing the possibility of a tempting VS flight here) opr anywhere else it would be expensive for others. Although I accept that V-Flyer has users all around the world I think that if anything was to be carried out it would have to be in the best interests of the majority and a few more polls carried out before making a final decision.

Would the option of 'buying in' to an existing cruise not an option?

On the cost issue...

You actually have to look at what a med cruise costs compared to say a Caribbean one, after looking into this earlier this yeah it came out cheaper to fly to Miami and board a ship there.

V-Monkey and I did a cruise last year o RCCL, I really enjoyed it, but V-Monkey wasn't too impressed.....I think if there were a group of people, it would be heaps of fun.

I would love to do QM2 over to NY! Then we could do VS UC from NYC! [^]

The only thing with doing a trans atlantic is the weather will not always do what we want it to do and the cost is higher than a regular cruise..however on the QM2 we do earn VS miles.
