Poor guy in fleet management - first he's told "we're expanding so lots of new planes to play with", then he's told "oh well we are still expanding but not as quick as before, so make do with the old stuff .. oh and no more new toys" ..... and then he's asked "would we be able to start flying multiple flights from citys in europe in a couple of years" [:0]

I wonder if he's sitting thinking "I hate mondays" [:p]

Aplogies for starting duff thread elsewhere, anyway, sort of related to 787/openskies

Assuming open skies gets the go ahead tomorrow (thurs 22nd March 2007) what is the opinion on how it will affect Virgin out of LHR? bmi are gagging to get they're hands on US Ex LHR and have a clock ticking down to when they can start operating.

Virgin may have plans to start out of Europe, but the breaking up of the LHR cartel will certainly affect things in the short term. or does virgin have enough of a loyal client base along with the 49% ownership from SQ to help it weather the storm.
