While our cousins across the sea are having their fun and games kicking around a ball, I figure (probably only me) would like an American Football thread...

Well I am a fish fan,add in my Spurs team and this year sucks..thank heaven for the Yankee's and the Kings.

So far we are a perfect 0 - 4 and not even looked like we are going to win a game [:#]..we will of course charge back in the second half of the season to insure we get a bad draft pick.

David: Honestly why American football? There is soccer and football. People play football and posers play soccer.

(No, I promise, I am not trying to start a fight, honest)

I love the NFL i wish that we had it over here.
The San francisco 49ers are the best in the world and have alot more superbowls than alot of other teams.
They wont win it this year but will come all mighty close

Go 49ERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That should be..... a game for real men - who can't understand the basic rules of football (if the myth of W.W.E is to be believed)

As for my choice of Stateside teams

Well for the 'padded game' it's the Jets - so no chance of glory there

As for Baseball - well that's the Giants and they've been c**p this year too

Thank god it's glory all the way with West Ham [:w]

I think you will find the 49ers are 2-2 and are 3rd in the NFC west.

I have to own up to being a huge American Football fan[:I]

This stems from the late 70's when I played touch football with a bunch of ex-pats in Hyde Park. Since then i have been to pro games (Charges and the Bucs), College Games, the Bull and Brigham Young and even a local High School game:D:D

Mrs Buns & I now eagerly look forward to Sunday evenings when we switch on Sky at 6 and catch the first game and a little of the second.

For what its worth, I think this year is going to be a re-run of last with the Colts and the Patriots seeming to be unstoppable at the moment.
