A First Class 'bedroom' is something I would pay for, especially on something like LHR-SYD or even LHR-LAX/SFO. Just as long as it has its own temperature controls. :)

Not too many specifics in that article, and I think it could be summarised as "business class has improved a lot recently, so first class needs to, to maintain the differential".

I like the part about the First terminal at FRA. That's me in November, that is. :D.

EK already has something similar on its A345s. But an actual bedroom hmmm...which of my limbs do I sacrifice for that;)

From my POV it kind of gets to a place where you can only do so much as a commercial airline.

At some point the majority of the people in those seats are going to have enough of the BS at airports and start flying private.

No security hassles no dealing with other pax, the people that fill these seats can afford to go around all that stuff.

However for the miles whores out there..keep up the great work guys, my butt will be in one of your seats at some point.

It is not rocket science to realise that the more space you occupy in an aircraft the more you pay, food and drink are secondary (Krug excepted) and are just the icing on the cake. If you have lots of folding stuff all these benefits can be yours, at a price. There will always be pax that are willing to cough up the dosh for the best cabin facilities, etc.. The question for the bean counters is striking the right balance and equipping the aircraft with the right amount of seats in each class and then filling them!
