Eventually we made our way through the security and got to the lounge, where a glass of the local bubbly seemed in order. There was a good range of drinks, and a small selection of nibbles to while away the time before departure. Got to be said, it was no Clubhouse!! A couple of drinks later and it was time to board the flight. We were right at the front with plenty of leg room, which isnt really an issue for those of us who are vertically challenged, but it was good to have, nevertheless.
We actually pushed back early, which was no mean feat considering the fact that the flight was quite full. As it is a relatively short flight, the cabin crew are quick to start the service. The food choice was either prawn curry or chicken salad, both were served with a bread roll, cheese and biscuits and a brace of chocolates to have with coffee. There was a choice of wine too, but as there was champagne, no other choice was necessary! The food was perfectly acceptable and the crockery was quite attractive too. There was even metal cutlery!
The crew were very pleasant and willing to share a joke or two and the service was very efficient. We landed early and, being at the front, we were off and through passport control like greased ferrets. The baggage came through quickly and we were on our way. All in all, a very enjoyable sector.
