Arrived at BDA around 12.30pm for a scheduled 2.20pm departure.
No queue at check-in which took 5 minutes. At BDA you have to bring your checked luggage through with you and then hand it to security to be checked and sent to the aircraft.

At BDA you enter US immigration before you leave the Island. This is good because it's one less thing to worry about and you can enjoy the flight without having to fill in forms. The US immigration agents at BDA are the friendilest I have met and will happily engage you in conversation [:0]

We had some lunch in one of the terminal cafes and our flight was called around 1.50pm. As we boarded the aircraft there was a box filled with headsets, so we took a couple. Upon boarding the aircraft there were no crew to be seen [:?]

We found our seats 22C and D and settled in to our grey leather seats. The aircraft interior was very impressive, light and airy. We also had our own seat back TVs [:D] The aircraft was a E190 narrow bodied jet with a 2-2 configuration. We were shown a recorded safety demo while taxiing. I noticed that there were some RAF boys in town as there were some small jet planes ZE162 and a larger plane ZA147 siiting on the tarmac. As we continued to taxi, the seat back TVs showed adverts for the complmentary food and drink and alcohol that could be purchased. There was also adverts for JetBlue cruises.

We were airborne just after 2.20pm and we were treated to a nice view of St George town as we left. It was very bumpy as we ascended to our cruising altitude but was fine once above the clouds. Our flight time today was 2hrs 5 minutes.

CC came around and took drink orders and snacks were brought to you in a basket from which you could choose. Coffee served on this flight was Dunkin Donuts which I thought was pretty cool.

I met my first feline pax on the way to the toilets. She was sitting in the last row with her owner. She didn't say much but seemed to be taking her first flight in her stride [:p]

JetBlue offer you live programming on their flights which is a real novelty. It didn't work for the first hour of the flight, but when it did we watched the Chelsea versus FC Porto game. It did seem odd watching live football at 30,000 plus feet and the IFE continued un til we had taxied to a stop [y]

We landed at 3.35pm and made our way to baggage claim. For a change our cases were the first off after 10 minutes. We then made our way to T4 for our connecting VS046 flight later that evening.

On the basis of this flight, we would fly JetBlue again [:D] They certainly are a refreshing alternative to CO or AA, who are our only other choices to EWR or JFK.
