It was time to head back to the UK. As the rules of half-price redemption sale did not allow you to fly into one city and out of another, I had to make the trip back to JFK to connect to VS010, instead of flying back directly from Boston. Got to Terminal C at Logan Airport at around 11:30am (flight scheduled for 2:50pm to arrive 4:05pm to leave plenty of time for 9:45pm departure to London). I had purposely not utilised online check-in as I wanted to speak to the agent regarding potential delays. The counter check-in at Logan was a complete contrast to JFK and there were only 2 families in front of me. Fortunately, the tornado and storms the day before in the New York area had blown over and I was informed that no delays were anticipated.

Security screening was the usual and it took about 15 minutes to get through to the departure area of the terminal. Theres not much to do if truth be told and youre better off staying in the check-in area where there is a larger range of shops and eateries until necessary.

I made my way to gate C28 and again asked the agent if any delays were anticipated. Again, she replied that it was all looking fine. The plane, an Airbus A320, arrived at 1:50pm and turnaround was quick enough that we began boarding at 2:25pm, again with priority boarding for those requiring assistance or those with small children.

I took up seat 7D and there was a bit of commotion before we took off when the crew realised that a child had been assigned an exit row seat. Meanwhile, a flight time of 46 minutes was announced and headphones were given out, although I had saved my set from the previous flight and settled down with the Food Network and Rachael Ray. A few swaps were made and we were on our way, pushing back at 2:50pm and taking off at 3:05pm.

Again, there was a limited drinks/snack service with water/coke/diet coke/sprite and munchy mix/animal crackers. The airborne part of the flight was completely uneventful and we landed at JFK at 3:45pm catching the gate staff off guard. Before we got off the plane, the crew announced that our baggage would be available from carousel 3 which was helpful and like in Boston, it took a fair while for it to appear, finally doing so at 4:15pm, at which point I headed for the AirTrain to Terminal 4.

A second excellent flight with JetBlue with whom I have no quarrels about using in the future, although how they hold up on longer flights Im not sure.
