Well after a night in the Radission , one which I want to forget as its over priced and the rooms are in my opinion are crap - But it was only for a few hours anyway - We checked in nice and early for our afternoon flight. No Q at all and flew through security with the passes and we heaed straight to the business class lounge - First impressions to be honest are that its just somewhere to avoid the crowds with a small selection of sambos and some dumplings etc. Nice and clean but a little boring but I suppose we should not be comparing to the amazing VS clubhouse. After spending some time shopping for goods we did not really need we made our way down to the boarding gate and were on the plane within mins. We headed straight upstairs to our assigned seats to be greeted by one of the nicest FAs I have ever encountered while travelling - We were show to our suites and settled down trying to discover the 'new' product. First impressions to be very honest ,it is indeed very like VS product but its definitly tighter and more crampt. It is indeed comfortable but the quality of the VS suites is better. [:D] I like the leather on VS and the colour scheme on VS is better.

Lunch was soon served after take off -
Now this is where Cathay I believe come into a different world - Their food is amazing - The service was superb, apart from forgetting to load the Heiniken but I lived without my fav beer.
I have a mixed salad to start that was as good as I have had anywhere and followed by the tenderloin that melted in my mouth - There was a large selection of fine wines to choose from and in fairness to the FAs they just kept coming and refilling. After munching and drinking my way for 'Ireland' I decided to sit back and have a look at the 'famous' Studio system. The TV screen is huge! Then disaster struck - I had not noticed but the system had crashed and they were unable to get it going - In fairness they kept trying and trying to get it going but it just would not restart. So at least I was in business class with some guys I knew so we sat with each other and had a few more drinks - Then decided to head off to the land of 'nod' and had about 4/5 hrs sleep before been woken for breakfast. Once agan the food was fantastic and really fresh. The FAs kept saying sorry about the VOD not working but with only an hour to go at this stage it did not matter.
Arrival in HK was very quick and we headed off for our connection flight to Taipei. I wont go into that flight as it was only just over 1 hour but we boarded onto a brand new 777 which also had the new product on board - I did get a chance to use 'Studio' for an hour - one word - it is the best VOD I have ever used - its brilliant - fast - easy to use - CDs selection is huge - great standard headphones supplied etc - But what I did get a chance to see was when gettng off the aircraft - the new F that I would get to stay in on my return - Stay tuned for that TR as it certainly was an experience I wont forget,
Cheers,
Keith.[:D]
