The Silverjet 'very sivillised sale' starts on the 4th Jan, says the Independent today.

I only need one TP to requalify, and waiting to book for NYC in March hoping for an Upper Class sale, but I might be tempted away from VS if prices are good. [:D]

Do you have a link to the Silverjet sale? Can't see anything on their site or The Independent. Thanks a lot.

It was mentioned yesterday, there was a competition to win some tickets IIRC, and the sale was mentioned at the end of the text. I assume the sale will be advertised on their web site from the 4th Jan.

It started!

got it in my email this morning -
http://www.flysilverjet.com/very-sivilised-sale-uk.aspx

£879 return in business class to ny or dubai is a bargain.

looking at the small print even if you have to change the ticket it's still cheaper than usual and the ticket's valid for a year

You may change flights for a fee of 100 GBP / 200 USD / 750 AED per sector plus any additional fare which may be due (not sure what that last bit means)
There is no minimum stay restriction
Maximum stay is 12 months

nice one

I still can't decide. Book PE now, get lots of miles and TPs and renew my Ag card, or go Silverjet and splash out a bit more, or wait longer for that mythical Upper Class sale to come along. [:?]

I ummmed and aahhhed for ages about that too. I need a one way flight from NYC to London and wanted to try a day flight in PE. However, for nearly $300 less I could try Silverjet and Luton is so close to me anyway I decided to try them out. Missing out Heathrow will be no hardship![;)] So I booked Silverjet.

It will be interesting to compare. I know the seating arrangement won't be like UC and the extra space on a shortish East Coast flight won't be that necessary, but the price was certainly enough to attract me, even if I'll have to try a day flight another time.

Just had an email reminder...

Our Very Sivilised Sale ends in seven days and sale fares are still available for travel up to 5 January 2009.

If only VS sales had similar end dates.
