We had never flown JetBlue before and had decided to take a chance, mainly because the connection would be ideal for us on the way home (no need to trek from LGA to JFK to catch our VS flight back to LHR). My dad dropped us at the airport and we checked our bags with the skycaps outside. There was a pretty short line for security and everyone we encountered was so pleasant good morning, have a happy New Year, etc. Refreshing. Once through security we had a look around the shops and saw a bin advertising upgraded headsets for $1. It was on the honour system. We opted not to get them, but we should have, as I later learned. MrStars bought a sandwich at a deli and we went to the gate to wait for our flight to be called. Everyone boarded surprisingly efficiently. We were in the exit row, so we had plenty of legroom.

Drinks & snacks were served, and we opted to pay $5 and watch the movie The Darjeeling Limited. The headsets were a little flimsy and I had trouble keeping them on my ears. The flight was fairly bouncy, but a short 2 hour and 6 minutes and we were down in sunny Florida. It took quite a while for bags to come out, but soon enough we were on our way.

Overall, for a domestic US short haul flight I have no complaints about JetBlue. The seatback screens are small, but I havent seen seatback screens on any other US domestic flights Ive taken recently, so better small than nothing. They gave out free snacks, which, again, is more than you get from most US domestic carriers. Leg room was great (even in non-exit rows) and the seats were pretty nice. I would fly JetBlue again.
