Surprised to be first with this ... BA has bought the French all business carrier L'Avion to merge it into BA Open Skies, see here.

That is the last all business carrier gone, other than those flights operated by mainline airlines.

SO I will summarize loads of papers written by highly paid consultants: An all-business class airline cannot succeed without strong ties to airlines at the origin and destination.

What a fantastic bit of business for the owners of L'Avion. I bet they jumped at the deal.

Silverjet were rumoured to be a BA target but L'Avion make much more sense.

And now EC has 3 daily flights plus French based flight deck and cabin crew.
