CDC to MAN - is it possible?

The VS website seems unclear [to me] as to whether CDC's are available for pax travelling out of MAN. Namely;

'Flights to/from Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester

Any mainland UK destination in counties south of and including Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Powys, and Ceridigion.'

The 'South of' bit in the quote above implies [IMO] that the CDC service is heavily aimed at pax departing from LHR/LGW. It gives the impression that if I was from Cumbria (only 80 miles or so from MAN that a CDC would be unavailable). Has anyone on here (particularly from Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire) managed to get a CDC to Manchester?

If you fly to and/or from MAN, you are allowed a car within a reasonable radius of Manchester. Phone the Premier team and ask what the radius is, as it will differ between the 'complimentary' level (J,D) and the 'reward' level (G class)

Yes, we had a CDC on our D fare all the way back to Hull.

I have been told by Premier Team that I cannot book a CDC ex MAN when booked on a G (by spending the 12.5k miles). They said that they don't have an agreement with the company to provide that service, which is rather annoying I must say!.

I have had CDC's with no problem at all from MAN back to South Cumbria on D fare. I seem to remember being told that the limit is 80 miles though if that helps.

Thanks for the replies. If the limit is 80 miles, then I am fine as the quickest route from my house to MAN is a shade under 80 miles.

That said, the 80 mile limit seems odd - given that it's a good 100 miles from Hull to MAN (& Neil managed a CDC to Hull). Also, if I was flying from LHR, then VS would happily provide a CDC for well over 80 miles to LHR. A good example here would be New Mills in Derbyshire (which pushes the Northern most reaches of Derbyshire to the limit) 180 miles from here to LHR, yet about 17 miles to MAN.

I'm on a D fare from MAN, so based on the above I should have no problems. Will call the Premier Team when back in the UK.

Yup, we are abt 115miles door to door so the 80mile limit didn't apply to our booking.
