I know it's not headline grabbing news but I am sad to see they end of a good route to Fiji.
Air Pacific are cutting their Tokyo to Nadi service at the end of March 2009.
They will be replacing it with a service to Hong Kong from July next year so as VS now has the two HKG services we might get a better connection than the 12 hour one in Tokyo at the moment. They say that the NRT route was reliant on pretty much only the Japanese traffic and they just aren't travelling now.
LAX will always be there for getting to Fiji but it is just something different and fun to go via Japan.
