hi,my flight was due to go on monday but was cancelled due to the weather.we knew there was snow forecast so my girlfriend was checking the website so we had the heads up at 6am vegas time.i called the u.s number and had to tell guy it was cancelled[n] rebooked myself and my mate within 5 mins on tuesdays flight[y].now the fun starts, got a call on my mobile which was luckily not on divert about 2p.m from virgin stating that i couldn't fly back in p/e untill friday or could go econ' on tuesday [:(!]they were pretty adament so i asked for a supervisor who assured me this was the only option,it took about 5 mins to make it clear i has already rebooked and asked her to check her screen. after a mins silence the reply came back ' you got in early, your ok to go,bye'. no real drama but kinda makes you worry if you are on the flight.turned up 10.30am to check in(better safe than sorry) and got a exit row upstairs[y].the flight was delayed by 2 hrs to 6pm but we half expected it,so we cabbed it back to the strip to gamble to 4 p.m.nothing much to say about the terminal but going back to the strip is the better option.

boarded with no problems but had started to taxi when we had to return to the stand.turns out one of the stewardess was ill(dodgy seafood buffet) and couldn't fly[:$]so another 45 mins delay.finally took off and managed 9hrs sleep [|)]and woke over blighty[:D].i've given average marks for food etc but didn't see or eat anything.we were doing laps around gatwick and started to get that worried feeling when the voice from the pointy end said 'we have to divert to lhr and land, refuel and then back to lgw due to a incident?[:?]. 1 1/2 hours later back over lgw on approach when we start to climb for a go around due to the ryanair plane in front botching the landing(separation?)[n].landed 20 mins later to muted applause.no real issue with virgin asmost things outside their control apart from the rebooking call.must go as my typing finger is bleeding![|)]

Sounds like a heck of a trick, as you said the vast majority of the mishaps were not VS's fault and as I know which buffet is the VS's crew favorite I am a little surprised to here that a member got sick, assuming of course it was that one.

Thanks for the TR! Sounded almost like that anything that could of gone wrong did!
