Just back from a week in Vegas and another massive thumbs up for
the Fat Wallet thread and also

Would definitely suggest working back through a good few pages of the Fat Wallet link. Thanks to that, managed to get a Lakeview Room in Bellagio for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night @ $140 + tax per night.
Booking direct with Bellagio over 30 days in advance can get you 20% off (more if it's 45 days in advance I think) and they held the rate for the Friday as we were there the two nights beforehand. Not bad when the rack rate for the room on the Friday was about $340.
PLUS our room was pre-allocated long before we got there and so we were 28th floor (as high as we could be without having a penthouse), 2 doors away from the centre with an AMAZING view of the fountains. I've never wanted to spend as much time in a hotel room or watch as little tv before in my life.
