Hi.

In January I am going to Australia. I land at Sydney at
06:45 and need to get a connecting flight to Melbourne that leaves
at 10:00. Is this enough time to get my bags and re-check in for the
next flight?

Would I be better off booking the 13:00 flight and then try and get on the earlier flight if I can?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Last time I did this trip I arrived on the VS 200 and was booked on the 10am Qantas flight to Melbourne. I had tons of time to waste in terminal 3. I rather regretted not being booked on an even earlier flight.

We connected at SYD to a QF domestic flight on Monday. We were sat in the QF domestic lounge in well under an hour.If you are not on QF then the landside transfer takes a lot longer.
