Hi

Does anyone know why VS49 was cancelled out of Gatwick today?

I'm flying out on it in 2 weeks so hope it's not a long term problem!

Just out of interest for all you experts out there - what happens when a flight is cancelled like that? Is it a case of waiting for seats on the next available flight?

Many Thanks

Mrs D

The VS49 only operates on certain dates, it is not a regular flight, just a seasonal/demand driven one. It is likely that it either wasn't planned today or if it was the loads were very light and they merged it with either the VS15 or 27.

We have just checked in for VS50 and they said that 49 went tec at LGW so they have sent a LHR 747 which is great for us all as they moved all 4 of us (inc a 5 and 7 year old) to UC upstairs from economy.

Thank you very much :)

Excellent result. Congratulations and enjoy your flight -- I know 5 and 7 years olds are not regularly seen in UC and that they'll behave like princes/princesses!
