I require 5 uc seat to MCO next year, should I book as soon as they are released or wait a week or two. I notice that the price does seem high as soon as they are released. Any advise please.

It depends really. If you can bag Z fares as soon as they are released then that is likely to be the price you ave to pay (there or there abouts anyway), unless then your dates fall within any sale periods, but the is the impossible question to predict. Sometimes when flights are first released, they may not release the lower fare buckets straight away, so then it could be worth waiting a week or so.

Of course, the danger with waiting is not getting the required amount of seats on the dates you want, but that is a risk you have to decide on.

The other thing is that sometimes, especially during busy periods, they might not release any Z/R fares at all. I know when we went to MCO last Easter, no Z's were ever made available, so it might be that you have to pay more if you want to travel in a busy period.

I was looking for April 2010 (post easter) flights man to mco.

The prices I saw as soon as the seats became available (and paid)has so far turned out to be about 50 more than the lowest price I have seen on subsequent checks.

When I say first became available, the very first day the fares were sky high, but by the next day had halved to a much more reaonable rate.

On MAN and LGW to MCO there are only 14 UC seats so waiting may get you a better price or no seats!

I reckon you are talking about 1650 to 1800.

Also it is always worth checking with an agent as many can get fare lower than you will find on the VS website.
