Another question for the experts here. I'm booked on VS15 which is scheduled for a 12:55 departure. OLCI opens 24 hours in advance so therefore I can check in from 12:55 the day before. As Twilight at LGW opens at 12pm would I be able to check in for twilight between 12pm and 12:55pm therefore jumping the queue for seat selection, exit row seats, etc,or would they make me wait until 12:55 to check in?

Every passenger needs to be present for Twilight Check In, whereas OLCI can be done from the comfort of your armchair[;)]

The true benefit of Twilight (no matter what time) is that your bags are taken from you and you do not have to go the Bag Drop the following morning (unless you have an additional bag to check in that is)

If you check online a couple of hours before the 24hr check-in deadline, I have often found the seat plan to be already open with more selections.

As buns mentioned above, if you do want to twilight check in, and are travelling with other passengers/family, then everyone in your booking needs to be present at the check in together.

Thanks both. I'm looking at the benefits of both to decide what to do (see previous post about length of OLCI queues) and also make it easier with the kids. I have done both Twilight and OLCI before and as I'm only half an hour from LGW doing twilight isn't a problem. However, I'm usually on VS27 so the question raised this time isn't normally an issue. What I don't want to do is to turn up for twilight at 12pm and be sent away for 55 minutes until the 24 hours before comes around. Hope that makes sense.
