Hi,

Been reading around a bit on the forums about UC and noticed a few things that I weren't sure about.

Do you get noise-reducing headphones in UC? like those Bose ones? I read this somewhere on the forums but I don't see it mentioned on the VS website

Secondly, is there a special security channel etc for UC passengers? Does this apply for flights to Australia (i.e. can I go through Customs/immigration quicker in Australia?)?

Thanks!

Yes, you get some basic noise-reducing head-phones in UC, but they're not, in my opinion, in the same league as the Bose QC series and similar. Still, better then nothing I suppose.

There is definitely (or at least there was) an Express Immigration queue on arrival in Sydney. Invitations are given out along with your landing cards after take-off from Hong Kong.

On arrival to SYD there is an express immigration lane you can use to get through quicker. The pass as mentioned handed out on board. Unless you are travelling on a Biometric Australian passport , then you should use the airgate. You don't need to pre-register or anything for it and its very very quick.

Departing from SYD there is an Express lane as well, your check in agent will give you the pass. Be wary though, sometimes there is very little difference in lines so eye each up first.

If you are connecting to any domestic flight then you must collect your luggage at SYD and exit through customs even if they are checked through. They are automatically offloaded and will be at the carousel. That customs requirement still catches the odd person out.
