I flying PE to Sydney and then on to New Zealand (three hours after the Sydney Flight lands) with air new zealand in three weeks time

First question. can I be checked all the way to new zealand at heathrow as ANZ is a code sharing airline

second question. , I am staying the night before in a hotel, if i check in at 11am for the 9pm flight should that be enough time to bag a seat with extra legroom?

If you are in PE, then I don't believe there are any extra legroom seats, unless you mean the bulkhead?

Did you book your onward flight with ANZ through Virgin? Are both flights on the same booking? If so you will be able to thru-check, if not, its unlikely.

With regards to the seats (I am guessing you want row 18 on the Airbus?), there really are no guarantees. Sometimes the extra legroom/bulkhead seats are gone by 7am and sometimes you can still grab them later in the day. It depends if other passengers have booked them or if the crew/staff have blocked them out, usually if they are expecting downgrades or upgrades they do this. You really never can know but if you want the seats you have to get up early and take the chance.

Thanks,
Sarah
