As the year closes, with another terrorist attack on travel, it seems the general mood is that 2009 is a year to forget. Has it been for you?

For me 2008 was a crap year, my dad died and lots of uncertainty work wise. This year was much better I have a new niece and I now work for myself which has turned out to be the best thing I have ever done.

Looking forward to 2010 hoping it'll be more of the same. Hope it all works out for you guys as well.

I think 2009 has been a good year for us, but with just one major blip it has meant overall it was indifferent year I think and it certainly wasn't as good a year as 2008 was.

Fingers crossed 2010 is a great year for everyone.

2009 was a good year in general - the last quarter turned absolutely shit, and that took the gloss of the rest of the year as I really should seen the signs.

That said, I am coping with being single again, with my ex being an actual c**t (excuse my French) and am looking forward 2010. Two thousand and whine is so last year.

Yes, pretty nasty as husband threatened with redundancy and mother died on 23 December.

Still feeling lousy now.

2009 - new work assignment, very slow progress with messy 'divorce' but ended up in last quarter by meeting a very special chap.

Pretty indifferent, nothing adverse or miraculous so I guess thats a good thing.

Sincere condolences to miopyk and Lynnewob.

Thanks EGG, one thing my old man did teach me was to live life to the full and make the most of what you've got. So that's what I'm doing.

Enjoy the rest of your trip (and shopping).

No major disasters or dramas this year.
Seemed to be travelling loads and the business did much better than last year, much better than I thought.

But I'm a natural pessimist so I'll say indifferent.
