Hens teeth, an operational upgraded from premium to upper.
No lounge access srawled across the ticket, who was doing who a favour here, not my fault you over booked the section by 12 seats)
However where there is ying there is yang, in the form of a crying baby and an indifferent crew. As the baby was not going to shut up, went to the bar had great time with other pax and stayed there until Hong Kong. To be honest not the best crew, they just lacked the normal virgin Buzz. Entertainment just like Decembers, so watched some Japanese film that was quite good.
Uneventiful flight apart from approach to Heathrow from the west in heavy snow and I am sure ten minutes before the end of curfew. I thoughout we were goners, but obviously, we were not and the plane landed and after short taxi it docked ontime. Luggage out fast, cleared customs and out to the snow.

Next flight 23 days Antigua

That's really sad, it's too long a flight to have a crying baby and an indifferent crew.

The op up is nice - if you weren't expecting lounge access when you checked in should you really expect it if you received an operational upgrade?
