I'm just back from a long weekend in Istanbul, and thought I would share my expereince of Turkish Airlines OLCI.
The first problem occured when I triend to check-in on-line. Despite stating theat OLCI was available for flights from LHR, the only departure points I seemed to be allowed to specify were domestic Turksih airports. After exchanging e-mails with the customer service department, it transpired that the trick was not to select the 'On-line Check In' option from the homepage, bt instead select 'Reserrvation Cancellations'. Now Why didn't I think of that?!I turned up at LHR the next day and looked for the OLCI desk as instructed only to be told that there wasn't one. There wasn't one at Ataturk airport in Istanbul either.
Given that you pre-select your seat when you book on-line (and only on-line bookers can use OLCI) I'm a little confused about what TK's intention for there OLCI functionality is, or why they bother offering it when it appears to offer absolutely no advantage.
