I'm a bit worried about this persons geography - he thinks Havana is in Mexico!

After spending £millions on the Upper Class Suite, there are changes planned for the Premium Economy and Economy cabins although they remain a closely guarded secret! All will be revealed soon......

Yes, when! [:p] Also, once announced, how long until the fleet is refitted fully? I assume it might take longer than with the UCS as it'll be the majority of the plane that'll need changing?

I can't wait to find out!!! Rumours started earlier this year I think on here, so I hope it's not too long now for an announcement. I hope it also includes extra legroom for Economy, but after refurbishing the 2 LHR 744s, and the announcement that the same Economy seats will be kept for the LGW 744s with SuperNova, why would VS want to do this? Unless of course, it just includes removing seats...

We will have to wait and see, which I hope is not long off now!

Jetstreamer,

Are you able to say if it's this side of Xmas and are the changes something which can be rolled out pretty quickly or will it require aircraft to be taken out of service?

Jetstreamer do we need to sleep with you to find out?
Oh, bugger, but then you'd have to kill us though :)

Come on you Virgin insiders, let us in on the secret.

If you do I'll tell you who's going to win the next election (some of the voters are very good friends of mine ;)) and we promise not to let anyone else know [:I]

I think they've helped as much as they can - I remember when UCS was being developed there were strict NDA's that were signed to protect the development.

Like it was said, All good things come to those who wait.

We all know that Virgin likes to innovate and firmly keep themselves at the top - I know some of the changes that are planned but its not right to discuss them in public (and this site is very public now - I think some people would not know how many people a month visit here now!)

Thanks,
Richard

Cheers Richard,

It's always worth asking.

I know from experiance that getting the jump on your competitors is crucial in todays fast moving market place.

Knowing Virgin's innovative history I'm sure that whatever they are planning it will raise the bar once again and set them apart from the competition.

We wait with baited breath.

Richard,

From what you know, do you think the changes coming for PE and Y will be far reaching enough to make them the best in the industry?

Am flying PE with VS next year so waiting in anticipation here:D

In my opinion?

Yes, but then I think that Y and PE are very good as it is already! A key thing to remember is that its not just about the flight, its about the complete End-to-End experience, from check-in right through to baggage claim. And for those that saw my comments on baggage handling, boy did I have a surprise in my e-mail this morning - lets just say times are changing!

And please allow time for the changes to be rolled out, UCS has been public over a year now, and the rollout is still happenning - its about time and money. VS would love to have V:port on all aircraft but it costs c.£3m per plane. The new LHR Clubhouse is £15m, UCS was £50m - lots of money being spent which is very admriable given the state of the airline business, and unlike the American Carriers, they are unable to go to the Government asking for handouts.

Thanks,
Richard
