Hi Chaps,

Just back from Los Angeles and back to a rainy London, and I've checked my FC account to see that my Tier Points and FC Miles have already been credited - lovely!

Thing is, my account details read 16 Tier Points, but my tier level still reads "Red". How long does it normally take to tick over, or should I give them a call to get it changed?

Hi Darryl,

I think it is almost instantaneous, and will show on your next statement. Your Silver Card should arrive pretty quickly too but if you have another imminent flight with VS and want the card so you can use PE Check-in for example, give FC a call.

Hi,

I won't be flying again for another couple of months at least, so the timings shouldn't be an issue - just surprised from an IT geek's perspective that the website account summary page doesn't automatically click over to "silver" after breaking the threshold. Will give it a while before prodding them about it!

Don't hold your breath,

Mrs VSlf's tier points tipped silver in January, card arrived.....last Friday.

New definition of instantaneous. :)

It's by far the worst bit of Virgin Customer Service in my experience.

Hmm, might have to keep an eye on that then!

How quickly did you see your online status change though? If nothing else, I'll be able to use a printout of my "silver" status in the PE queue even if my card hasn't arrived?

Online status changed after about six weeks, phoned FC and they said they do it very couple of months, they said it was a manual process (though I'm guessing this should change with online status/TP tracking).

I don't think it's a FC priority because they know you are Silver, any check in/phone call etc they can always see it, so actually sending cards etc out is not a priority.

Hmmm! - I had to phone them up (Twice!) to get mine done.

Give them a call I suspect if it doesn't happen instantaneaously, then it won't happen until to you ask.
