We should probably start a new board section for these queries as they are becoming popular, but ...

Does anyone know what planes i will be flying on?

Depart: 25/06/2004 LHR-MIA VS005 11.30am
Home: 02/07/2004 MIA-LHR VS006 18.25pm

I shouldnt really spoil it, but im dying to know. Anyone who could help, id much appreciate it. I am crossed fingers for Suites and V.Port (only in PE, but i will get a look at least)

Thanks Freeway!

Please fill me in on the return leg when you know?

So, G-VFAB! Hmmm, that will be interesting as that one is out for suites Jun/Jul, so who knows what we will end up with? I would sure love V.Port so i wil carry on with crossed fingers!

Thanks again!

Hey Guys

Apologies for not being able to find this out myself (any tips on that score?) but could anyone tell me which aircraft are scheduled to fly:
VS015 on 30 June
VS016 on 14 Jul?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Cheers

Nick

Hi Guys,

Don't forget aircraft assignment can change at anytime, whilst it is possible to know a few days in advance what aircraft are pre-assigned to specific routes, there are no guarantees. A few days before our LHR-MIA trip we were expecting G-VBIG out and G-VTOP back, we got G-VAST out and G-VFAB back!

So whilst it's nice to know your pre-assigned aircraft may have v.port or suites, etc., don't be too disappointed if when you turn up at the gate, it's not the one you expected.

Bazz you make a good point. That happened to me last time I traveled on Virgin. It was supposed to be 747s and they were Airbuses.

But, I am still hoping for Suites and thus a change of the originally scheduled aircraft!

Hi All,

I notice there's an increasing amount of requests for info on specific aircraft schedules, and without wishing to dampen anyone's enthusiasm, might I suggest in the first instance you look at the What's My Chance tool?

Specific aircraft can't be guaranteed, as schedules change all the way up to the point of departure, so seeing a snapshot of the schedule a couple of weeks before may lead to disappointment if it's not the aircraft you were expecting when you get to the gate.

Thanks,
Pix

It's very easy to find this stuff out yourself. Firstly take a look at the http://www.v-flyer.com/chance.asp tool. That will tell you that VS33 is almost always flown with a LGW-configuration 747.

Then, go to http://www.itn.net and enter your travel dates and select business class (that's were the differences are most obvious). Choose VS33/34 and then pop up the seat map. You'll see that both planes show 4 rows of 4 across (zone A in the nose) and 2 rows of 6 across (zone B), which confirms that the flight will be operated by an LGW-config 747 with Nova IFE.

Of course, subject to change and all that, but it's easy enough to find out some of this information using the resources here and elsewhere.
