We're flying PE to MCO in November on VS015. I've read a lot of posts about the fleet being upgraded. Have any dates been given for the LGW fleet upgrade? Will someone travelling PE notice any difference?

They are scheduled to START from Sept..
The only difference for PE will be that a few seats will be downstairs behind UC

I suspect the IFE will be upgraded too?
I'm sure someone will confirm!

Read previously that the plan is for the number of IFE systems to be reduced to 2 - V:Port and Odyssey.

I guess in the fullness of time it will all be V:Port - but that's a long term aim.

Sorry I meant in terms of the UCS upgrade
Surely we're got going to have the best seats but a Nova IFE? will the seat TVs/remotes etc work with Nova?

I assume NOVA will be replaced by V:Port, but probanly need an 'insider' to confirm.

When LGW aircraft go for suites, the whole plane will get V-port and the new seats in W and PE.

The Plan is also to get games on LGW IFE ASAP, Currently NOVA does not have any games systems.

I have heard that once the first LGW 400 gets suites it wil fly mainly to BGI.

Surely they won't bother to change the IFE until the UCS upgrade is underway?

Very interesting Declan, do you know any details? Will it be an updated version of Nova, or a new games system to run alongside the old IFE?

Declan
I recall from an earlier post that BGI would have suites in early Dec. If LGW 744 are going for re-fit from Sept, will not there be many more LGW fitted with suites by Dec?

I am booked on BGI flights late Nov and early Dec in UC and keeping fingers crossed!

cheers

I am sure that will make many parents exceedingly happy and (perhaps) a few adults too - Mrs Buns for one;)

Thanks for the news

How long does it take to fit V:Port and the UCS into a 747-400?
