Hi Manilo

Yes, any mileage activity on her FC account will make it another 3 years before they expire. So, a Virign Wines purchase will do it, as will a MR transfer from Amex, or a short flight with BMI :)

am i right in thinking that a virgin credit card earning miles is the best way to extend the life of miles as it adds miles every month ?

Yes Steve, any activity on the account extends the life of points, so having a number fed in every month is great.
